What's changed
This is the final phase of the replacement Teachers' Pension System, and it's now open to all members.
Reminder: Paper monthly pension advice notes stopped being posted out from April 2023. Yours can now be viewed and printed from the members' online portal at any time. A paper slip can still be requested in exceptional circumstances by emailing teacher.portal@education-ni.gov.uk.
What the new online portal offers
Whether you're drawing your pension already or still teaching, the portal covers most of what you'd otherwise contact the Teachers' Pension Team for.
If you're a pensioner member, you can:
- Update your log-in and personal details
- Nominate or update your beneficiary
- View and print monthly advice notes and P60s
- Run an Annual Earnings Limit (AEL) calculation
- Message the Teachers' Pension Team directly
If you're an active teacher member, you can:
- Update your log-in and personal details
- Nominate or update your beneficiary
- Run a retirement quotation
- View and print Annual Benefit Statements (ABS)
- Message the Teachers' Pension Team directly
An option to retire online is due to follow later.
