BRITISH RED CROSS
The British Red Cross, in partnership with Allen & Overy LLP, have created a new education resource which looks to help teachers and students explore issues of fairness and justice through the lens of international humanitarian law or the law of war. The four modules contained in the Justice and fairness resource give young people the opportunity to develop skills which are important in helping them become accomplished learners.
Additionally, the Every Child Matters outcomes of enjoying and achieving and making a positive ontribution are met through exploration of the issues involved.
Teachers are supported through providing useful information for making lesson plans and providing case studies and classroom activities which will challenge young people to apply their existing and new knowledge to different situations thus developing critical thinking skills.
