UTU BALLOT FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION
RESULTS
- There was a 30.2% return in the ballot for industrial action, with 59.3% voting FOR strike action. As the UTU Rules and Constitution state that before any strike action can be declared two-thirds of those voting must be in favour. The UTU will not, therefore, be asking its members to take strike action.

There was, however, an overwhelming mandate for action short of strike action, with 79.8% voting FOR.
